Chaitanya from Bangalore, IndiaNice contrast between the beach and the urban landscape in the background. Love the windmills there: Something to highlight nature and a means of power generation that, unusually, doesn't harm nature. 25 Sep 2010 5:32am @Chaitanya: Thanks for your comments Chaitanya. kate from lincolnshire, United Kingdomgreat image well composed and fab contrasts......... :) 25 Sep 2010 5:46am @kate: Many thanks Kate, have a lovely weekend. jpla from St Barthélémy d, FranceJoli contraste ! Je te souhaite un agréable samedi. 25 Sep 2010 6:02am @jpla: merci beaucoup ;) CElliottUK from Reading, United KingdomLove the way that the shot goes turbine/building/turbine/building. Great angle! 25 Sep 2010 6:23am @CElliottUK: Thanks Chris, enjoy your weekend :) Tamara from Aarschot, BelgiumI agree... the contrasts are very nice ! Also the perspective effect is really working great here ! Vey well done Michael ! Have a great weekend :) 25 Sep 2010 8:17am @Tamara: Dank je wel Tamara.... Have a great weekend too..! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanA strong contrast between the unpopulated beach and the marks of the new modern world in the far background. Which one to choose ?! 25 Sep 2010 8:48am @Japanalia: Maybe somewhere in between... ? ;) grapf from Göttingen, GermanyInteresting skyline! I didn't know that Liverpool is so close to the sea. 25 Sep 2010 11:18am @grapf: Yes, Liverpool is situated on the famous River Mersey that opens into the Irish Sea. Liverpool was once a world harbour trading goods and slaves, and many people left this port as migrants to go to the New world (America). In fact the Iron men in the previous pictures symbolically represents all the people that emigrated from Liverpool. Florence from Paris, FranceAmazing to discover what's around... ecologic but not so poetic. The whole thing is really surreal in a sense. 25 Sep 2010 1:48pm @Florence: Thanks Flo, have a nice weekend ! Don from Spokane, United StatesA fine shot of these wind turbines with the city beyond. The turbines are always so deceptively large. 25 Sep 2010 2:53pm Bettina from Los Angeles, United StatesSo great. I love that! The landscape of industry, held off by that long stretch of beach in the foreground. Just excellent. 25 Sep 2010 4:48pm Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaLove the elegant composition and presentation, Michael. 25 Sep 2010 6:05pm marc battault from clermont ferrand, Francea wonderful shot ,nice depth of field management ! 25 Sep 2010 6:18pm Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesIt's good to see the Iron Men still watching and the wind turbines right at the edge of the city. What is that control tower like structure; harbor related? I enjoy this fine composition a lot. 25 Sep 2010 6:50pm @Steve Rice: Yes Steve, I'm sure this must belong to the Coastguard it's right on the open sea. Thea from Leeuwarden, NetherlandsWhat a view! You almost think this must be manipulated:) 25 Sep 2010 7:27pm MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyAn eclectic architectural composition. Great shot! 25 Sep 2010 9:56pm DowsherVision from PARIS, FranceWonderful shot and composition, very nice sight. 25 Sep 2010 10:15pm |
