Fascinating old image and so beautifully sharp too, it just shows they knew how to make good optics then although I bet you really had to pay for them

@Doug: Thanks Doug, indeed the optics were good, and they had none of the advanced 'assistance' that we have IS, auto this and that, but they made splendid pictures, such as these.

i remember, when i went to school our geography teacher used to bring slides like this to class ... and we were happy about the change!!! imagine, an age without instant access to all kinds of media ... hard to believe it was only 50 years ago ...
