Superb you can really feel the opulence of this place

@Doug: Indeed you can, but it's always the privileged upper class; the Earls and Barons and Lords and other such titles bestowed upon themselves who have this opulence - including the Royal family, and all at the cost of the tax-payer.
Certainly is a grand building.

Wow, a fabulous interior shot Michael.

although fabulously ornate I always think how hideously uncomfortable it would be to live in this kind of place. I'd flog it off and go minimalist :)

@grouser: ... I think I would agree with you on that grouser.

I like how you were able to capture even that ornate ceiling in your image. It is lovely, but I think it is too much stuff for how I would be comfortable. But nice to look at.

Yes, this is my kind of pictures, I am wondering if this is the place they have the stone egyptian chairs
outside and yet they used to decorate Thomas Hope's Galleries, chairs I would kill for, so to speak !~

I hate the unlived feeling of the ropes and guards in these type of places, dear
God, I must sit down !~

No, went to my massive library of books, and seen that the chairs are in Parham Park,
west Sussex, flanking the temple !~

The furnishings and decoration are really interesting, although I really don't like this style, to much decoration ...
