At first glance, a very intriguing shot. An original close-up Michael. A tour in your bath-room ? ;-)

I think this is heavy ordnance, battle-tested in many wars. :-)

A block of gold caught between bricks! This was the first idea to see the image Michael! No matter what it is. A composition is very good with excellent textures! Very interesting shades of color and light of the whole image! Best regards, Adela

I would never have figured that out. It looks like some heavy metal. A superb macro.

Micro Michael Magic!

It's really abstract. Even after your description I can't figure it out.

@António Pires: :) I can understand that Antonio, it is a rather close, close-up. These days I use Gillette Mach3 blades, but I found this old Gillette Contour handle, the type that you could snap a swivel blade onto. But I would much sooner tell you that this is an ancient artefact from Mars...!
completely sensational :)
it's like a dream!

Interesting play with textures and shapes. Very intriguing. As Antonio says, even with the description, i can't imagine what part it is...

Clever shot with such a neat angle, Michael. I really like your eye for detail, and indeed, the shot.
27 Apr 2010 3:29pm
Clever. It really looks good.

It's difficult to see what it is (and I know, because I read your explanation) but who cares - the processing is fantastic!

@Marilla: Thanks, sorry for the late reply.

@Earnest: Ha ha... Limescale :0
So: Is this 2:1?
Marvellous that you - with the sharp, angled light - manage to get a noticeable amount of DOF into the picture. (No trouble imagining what it is after reding your description - and I'm an electric shaver man.)
BTW: There's something not working with your http://freshpictures.co.uk/
