That's a great shot of these cooling towers. Since they are presumably making steam, that's a good thing. Are these related to a nuclear power plant? We should have more of those here.
Have you ever heard of the WPPSS fiasco? To make a long story short, there was an aggressive nuclear plant building program here in Washington state back in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Unfortunately, it was a bit ahead of it's time and not managed well and therefore defaulted on its bonds. A big no-no. I wish they could've finished those plants, one of which was just west of here, to help with our voracious energy appetite.

@Steve Rice: Thanks for your comment and info Steve. No this power station is not nuclear, it's coal fired burning 16000 tons of fuel each day. See details here.
The UK has 9 active nuclear power generating sites, but France has 21 nuclear power stations which are the primary power source. See also the EU
A great B&W shot. i love the contrast and light

That white border of your is not only beautiful but really adds some nice depth,
like we are travelling into the photo. The smoke and large kilns really stand out
beautifully, but not enough to miss the wonderful mountains beyond.

@Phil David Morris: Thanks, and glad you like the White border, I do too. But it's not everybody's cup-of-tea.
